Join us for our first meeting of 2015 and it’s a good one!
In his search for a fresh adventure where he could see the world and test his limits, Dave Williams set his sights on becoming the first person to climb the highest mountain in each continent from the nearest feasible coastline – sparking the idea of sea2summit7 with the aim of raising $100,000 and raising awareness for male mental health.
In January 2013 he was unsuccessful in his first sea to summit attempt and was forced to turn around on his final summit push of Mt Aconcagua (South America) on day number 28. Never one to give up, he ran 9 consecutive marathons followed by a five day climb to complete the first ever sea to summit ascent of Mt Kilimanjaro (Africa). Next was Mt Kosciuzko (Australia), and the completion of 225km sea to summit over 6 days. In July 2014 he again proved his awesomeness and completed an epic 14 day battle with the first ever sea to summit ascent of Mt Elbrus (Europe) from the Black Sea on the Georgian coast.
This January he has set off to Mt Aconcagua to once again attempt the summit – Will he make it??
