Alex Marsden is part of the Tāmaki Makaurau Police Search and Rescue (SAR) Team. He works closely alongside Auckland LandSAR and other agencies to locate, then help those in need. Alex is also part of the Police Technical Ropes Rescue Team. 

He has been a member of NZAC for about 10 years, has been climbing outdoors for about 16 years and mountaineering for about 13 years.

Alex is coming to talk about SAR, being rescued and how to avoid needing to be rescued in the first place.
