Andy Buchanan is an amateur artist and climber living in Christchurch. With the goal to climb all the Southern Alps and foothill peaks visible from Cashmere, he tramps, climbs, and ski’s in the mountains, while looking for new subject matter for future paintings.
He uses palette-applied oil paints to create images of New Zealand mountain scenery, his goal is to re-create a feeling of being in the mountains, using the simplest forms possible.
Our in-person monthly club meeting's are back and we've got a new location. Whether you're a newbie, an old hand or want to check us out, come along to our next meeting. The Horse and Trap has amazing food, and a great selection of drinks so come, have fun and get inspired with your fellow cubbies.
